Black Friday...

This year I had most of my Christmas shopping done at least well over two weeks ago...so Black Friday wasn't as exciting as usual. We had planned on going to the outlet mall at midnight Thursday, but then changed our minds...partly because we were tired and partly because we were expecting company...friends from Houston...so we ended up heading out to the new Target (and thankfully not near the mall) at about 5:15...the doors open at 6...so we had to wait...not a long line...dh and I sent the kids out to wait...well they were the ones that wanted to go to Target and look for some special on PSP...okay, now before you all think we are the most horrible parents on the face of the earth...it was our 20 yr old dd and her bro (our 11 yos) decided to stand out with her...Goodness knows why dd wants a PSP...whatever...and it was in the middle 30's so they didn't freeze to death...yes, THAT is cold in TX...but mind you we did spend some time in Alaska, during the winter, a few years ago...and the two can't be compared!!! Anyhow...we went to Target...the PSP that dd wanted they either didn't have or only had so few (it was a limited quantity thing) that they were gone before they had time to run back there...I got the kids Electronic Monopoly and Electronic Life and a remote Dodge Charger for dh...

We went out for breakfast at IHOP and then headed over to Sports Authority...I got a Bowflex for my birthday/Christmas present...I've been wanting one for a couple of years...it was on sale for $499...I think the regular price was $799...so I feel I got a pretty good deal...

We headed over to Costco for some meat and other supplies...we are expecting company...remember? When I went in I got a nice cookbook-I guess a thank you to their members...

Then we headed home...put stuff away...needed go back and pick up the Bowflex in dh's truck and get some veggies and stuff from the store. We went over to Walmart...(yes, for the readers that know me or read my old blog...I still shop at Walmart, but NOT near as often as I use to...I do most of my grocery shopping at HEB and anything else I try to get at Target...but every once in awhile...I do make my way to Walmart....) as I was walking out I ran into our friends that were coming to our house...well I ran into Mr. and 3 boys...Mrs.decided not to come...WHAT? decided NOT to come??? yet allows her dh and 3 of her 4 boys to come...what was she thinking???? and she CONSIDERS herself one of my friends? hmmmm....I must re-evaluate our friendship...anyone that knows me knows I don't do well with all boys...especially hers... :P
