A new adventure???

We might have the opportunity to go to China, all expenses paid, for a year...

This is making me feel very uncomfortable. But I know that if it's meant to be, if GOD wants us to go, then I will have total peace about it. Peace that passes all understanding. I told dh if he thought Alaska was remote, then what did he think China would be like...he said at least his family would be there...well we were there in AK too (well for 2 months) I reminded him he'd be at work...what would the rest of us do...he said," I don't know, teach?" I'm thinking....Oh great idea, Honey....why didn't I think of that...ackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!! :P

So if you had the opportunity to go, all expenses paid for a year...would you go? Why or Why not?

I would pray about it and then if I had that Peace of God, which He gives us when it's the right thing, I would consider it His throwing open the door and go.

I have to say no, I would not. They still throw Christians in jail there. It's not any place I'd want to be, or want my kids to be. It just isn't safe. But that's me.

On the other hand, if that's where God wants you to be, then that's where you should be. I'm just glad it's not me faced with the decision.

The only reasons I would go to China for a year is if:

a) God said we HAVE to go
b) we were adopting a child

Can't think of any other reason to go. I guess it could be a wonderful educational experience if you are the Homeschooling - Extreme Edition type. Maybe in all your "free" (Ha) time you can make up a bunch of unit studies to get you in the spirit of the possible move. ;)

Sorry, chick. I'll be praying for ya about this!

Love,
Stacey

with my family? You bet! In a heartbeat. Think about the relationships you could build. Think about how just living your life opening in front of these folks could change lives. Not even witnessing, just living an honest life. Wow, what a learning experience for your kids. I'd probably be more likely to go if my kids were the ages of your kids than I would be now. :) Yup, I'd go.
