The Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics start tonight! Yay! I love the winter Olympics! I love them more than the summer Olympics! (funny how I'm sick of snow though...lol)

As I think of the goal of winning the gold, I'm reminded of a few verses:
1 Corinthians 9:24 (King James Version)
24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

2 Timothy 4:7 (King James Version)
7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Hebrews 12:1-2 (King James Version)
1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We as Christians are like the Olympian going after the gold! We can do it, if we keep our eyes on the prize!
Blessings!

Bobbi, you are such an amazing woman and you bring a smile to my face whenever I chat with you. Only you could discuss the Olympics and remind me of applicable bible verses without sounding strange. You're way too awesome! HUGS!

I love the Olympics too - especially the ice skating, and the hockey. I just wish NBC didn't have the coverage though. I can't watch skating on that channel anymore, the camera seems to jerk around and it makes me feel a little nauseous. Funny that it's the only channel that happens on!
