I just want to apologize to anyone if I have offended you in anyway by being judgemental, condensending, harsh, or mean. It was brought to my attention by a former friend and also a family member that I am this way. In my heart, I haven't meant to be. I don't want to be that kind of person. I truly thought I was encouraging them and advising them. I never meant it hurtful or mean. I never meant it to sound judgemental or self righteous, and for that I'm am very sorry, and therefore sorry to any of you, if I have ever came across that way. Please forgive me.

labels
Why is it that people would rather be labeled than just be a Christian? Why do we have to called Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Catholics, Non-denominational, etc? Why can't we just live and practice being a Christian?
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
That's it...that's all we have to do to become a Christian...why do people think that we have to live by all these religious church guidelines?
After we become a Christian, we want to read GOD's WORD and grow...but most people want to listen to what other people say, instead of reading GOD's WORD and finding out for themselves what's in there. People then have a tendency to believe what they have heard without going and discovering it themselves...
For example...
God helps those that help themselves....um, that's not in the Bible. That's a quote from Ben Franklin in "Poor Richard's Almanac". If you think about it, that's the furthest thing from the truth that there is. GOD wants us to TOTALLY RELY on HIM and not ourselves. That doesn't mean don't work, because we are waiting for GOD to supply all our needs...because that would contradict what the WORD says...
2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
It's time to take the labels off and stand up for Christ! I just want to be be a sheep! How about you?
Blessings until next time.
BTW...Susan and Rosemary-About my post below...I'm not going to allow the enemy to win. I was sharing what goes on, not just in my life, but life in general. We have a choice, to listen to the flesh or the spirit. My choice is the spirit...but that doesn't mean the battle's not there. Thanks for the prayers!

Not ashamed...
Sometimes when I write a post, like the previous one, I'm afraid of offending somebody. Then I remember I can not be ashamed of the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST. I need to be bold in my faith and what I believe in. Some people won't understand, some people won't agree, but I have to remember it's not me they don't agree with, it's not me they don't understand. It's GOD in me.
Romans 1:16 (King James Version)
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
I think too often, we as Christians, are worried about offending someone so we try to be polite, or even politically correct, instead of being bold in our faith. This doesn't mean we go around and purposely are rude or inconsiderate. This means that if the LORD lays something on our heart, HE gives us the words, we are to say it boldly and unashamed. We might offend the person because of their beliefs or lack of them. ;)
Do you remember when you first became a Christian? Do you remember before becoming a Christian how things of Christians would offend you? I do! I remember going out with this guy and he would always play Christian music...it was so annoying to me. It was like...slap...right in the face. Anyone that disagreed with my religion, I had a problem with.
Now I see what the problem was, that's what I had...religion! I didn't have a relationship with the one, true, living GOD. I believed in GOD-don't get me wrong...but I didn't have a relationship with HIM. I went to church, I did the Holy days of obligation, I took communion, I went to confession. I did it all, and yet something was still missing...it was a relationship!
After my mom died, I started searching...I knew there had to be more to church than just the things I mentioned above. I didn't understand why when I went to confession and did the repentence, why I still felt unforgiven. Again, it was not having a relationship with GOD, through HIS SON, JESUS, that I was missing. Thank GOD, HE sent people along my path that knew HIM and had a relationship with HIM, so I wasn't lead astray.
My life has never been the same. I'm living the greatest adventure here on earth-Serving the one, true living GOD! Everyday is a day of growth, adventure, of amazement and wonderment. I no longer fear the unknown...
1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Psalm 121
When I have a problem now, I just turn it over to GOD, knowing according to HIS WORD, HE hears me, HE's going to answer me, HE's going to give me peace that passes all understanding, that I can go boldly to HIS throne, that I can ask anything-forgiveness, help, etc.
I can look up and say GOD, I am excited about today...I am excited to see how YOU are going to turn this situation over for my good and not evil, I'm excited to see how YOU are going to change it from glory to glory.
If your life isn't like this, if you don't have a personal relationship with the one true, living GOD, if you are seeking answers or forgiveness and feel like nothing ever changes, will you let me pray with you, or will you pray this prayer?
FATHER GOD, I have come to the realization that I am a sinner, and that I need to be saved, through YOUR SON, JESUS CHRIST, who died on the cross to take away those sins. LORD, I accept HIM now, and with my mouth, I boldly confess YOU are the way, the truth, and the life, and with my heart, I believe. I will follow YOU and have a relationship that is ever growing with YOU starting today. In YOUR precious SON, JESUS' name. Amen.
I encourage you to go get a good Bible and read the book of John first. Ask GOD to open HIS truth to you. It says in the book of James 1:5, If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask GOD. I prefer a Bible with several different translations in it. My Bible has the King James, New American Standard, Amplified, and another version (just can't think of it now)
I also encourage you to find a great HOLY GHOST filled church...yes, it might seem weird at first, you might be taken out of your comfort zone, and out of your religious box, but you will be blessed. If you have a problem understanding what a HOLY GHOST filled church is, please feel free to email me or leave a msg here. I will be happy to explain and/or point you in the right direction.
Wow! This post did not go the way I intented. LOL...but I was changed to another course by GOD. :)
Blessings to you, until next time!

Sunday Sing-Along-STOP SITTING ON THE SIDELINES!!!!
I was speaking to one of my dearest friends last night on the phone and another one of my dearest friends I was out with yesterday. Funny how the two conversations in a way were similar in my mind...basically they came down to...it's time to quit playing in church and take an active role as a Christian.
"What is an active role?"
*Going out and ministering the gospel, by being an example of JESUS.
"Well, I go to church and I participate in church activities." I can hear a bunch of people saying.
Sorry, I'm truly starting to think most of you all are missing the boat. I think you are SITTING ON THE SIDELINES, waiting to be placed in the game, and it's time to stop!!!! It's time to GET IN THE GAME!!!
"What do you mean?"
*It's time to decide if you're hot or cold for JESUS. We can't be sitting on the sideline being lukewarm anymore. (Rev. 3:15-16) It's time we start taking an active part in getting people saved, ministering to the lost, feeding the hungry, praying for the sick and destitute with the power of the HOLY GHOST. We need to get out of our comfort zones, the church building, and go out among the people and do it! It's not just our pastor's job, or the elders, and clergymen, it's our job, and we need to actively be seeking GOD and asking HIM, GOD what can I do for YOU today? Show me, Send me, let me be YOUR hands and YOUR feet today....because people that's why we are here! we are little Christs...that's what Christian means...in other words we have the same power as JESUS had. We have the power to share the gospel, we have the power to witness, we have the power to minister, we have the power to feed the hungry, we have the power to help the poor, we have the power to ask GOD to heal. (Luke 24:49, Acts 1-2)
Why aren't we using it? Why aren't we using the POWER GOD gave us through HIS SON, JESUS??? Why do we continue to sit on the sidelines and be lukewarm?
In my opinion, the time is drawing very near for the LORD's return. I've come this far, I'm not turning back, I'm not quitting, I'm not sitting on the sidelines. With GOD's grace, I'm going to play in the game, I'm going to take an active part in being the hands and feet, of JESUS, until HIS return!

FINALLY an answer...Hysterical, but an answer!
I put my "CHANGE" post over on yahoo answers...Mostly I got anti-Obama answers, like I got here and on my Facebook, however I did receive this answer:
"Speaking for myself, the change I'm looking for has already started. It's a Government with less of an ego. It's about putting the smartest and best people in the right positions to make the decisions in the best interests for the people. Obama is probably one of the most intelligent Presidents we've ever had. He knows how to manage people and he knows how to take different points of view to determine the best course of action. Change he's been talking about goes deeper than world peace, the economy, or health care. Now we have a government which is beginning to put the interests of it's people first, not the other way around. That is the change I was seeking and believe many of the other Obama supports were too. I hope that helps"
Um okay...so this guy seriously thinks that Obama doesn't have an ego? And I won't even comment on the rest...sigh...
and another answer...
"George Bush did whatever he wanted including starting an unnecessary war (there was no Al Qaeda in Iraq when Bush declared war) and had the interests of the wealthy and big corporations (Big Oil got a $2 billion tax break amongst their record profits) at hand but did little for the needs of the middle class. You're probably not a senior citizen, but the Bush Medicare Drug Plan served the interests of the Drug and Insurance Companies, but not the people who need medicines (what a terrible plan). The Republicans won't admit it, but Obama got elected, not because of hs color, but because of Bush's approval ratings (only 27%). Any future U.S. President must do better and most expect Obama do do better than that."
So it looks like instead of looking at the facts, many of the Obamars voted for him because they choose to believe the liberal media???? Ummm, not that I'm shocked, or even surprised...

CHANGE???
Okay, I've been pondering all day the "Change" that people have been anticipating that Obama will bring...the problem is...I don't get it...what are they wanted changed? I'm serious...what is it people are expected?
Do people seriously believe that he will change the economy when the democrats are the the ones that brought change the past 2 years?
Do they want the abortion laws changed? and if so, why? Why would they want the law changed to kill a baby when it's 2/3rds term and babies born at this stage can be, when born premature, kept alive? What if Obama's mother believed in abortion? What if instead of adoption the birth mother aborted? How about teaching kids abstenence and morals? How about teaching them that if they have sex that pregnancy is a possibility and along comes responsibility? And abortion is just a cop out for responsibility???
Do they thing pulling out of the war will bring peace? Because if they did a little history study they would find the muslim and christian nations have been at war since the time of Abraham and will continue to be so until the end of time. It's not that difficult to figure out.
Do they think that health care should be socialized? Because most of the healthcare around the world is and it stinks...just ask people that live in a different country than the US. It's not the health professionals to blame, it's the insurance companies.
Do they seriously think everyone in America should get a hand out? I believe in giving to the less fortunate...but that means helping those that fall on hard times...not people that are too lazy to get off their rears and not try to get a job or work. The Bible clearly states a man that doesn't work shouldn't eat...so why should we be handing over cars and houses to them?
Is it just that people think a black man should be elected? So we elect someone because of the color of their skin instead of voting for his/her principles and morals?
So what change are people looking for...because frankly I don't get it...I really don't...so would someone that actually voted for Obama please explain it to me? Because I really would like to understand it, then maybe change really can begin!

sad for America today...
Why? Because whether it's GOD's will or not...it's sad that American's have become so ignorant.
Why is it okay to vote for someone because they are black, but if you don't you're a racist?
Why is it okay to kill innocent babies in the womb?
Why is it okay for the new first lady say she hates America? MOVE THEN!!!!
Why do people think that one man is in control of our government? Did they not take a Government class in school and learn there are three, yes, three branches of government?
Why is it that we had 6 wonderful years of the Bush administration and now that the Congress has been running the congress for the past 2 years, the United States has gone to hell in a hand basket?
Why is it this man was able to get elected and there is no paper trail, no birth certificate, no college records?
Why does America think that one man can change anything if it's not JESUS?
I have a million whys and yet I have no answers except to look up....
And yet I know it's all GOD's will. HE allowed it to happen. Is it what HE wanted? I don't think so, but HE allowed it to happen. So again, I will lift my eyes unto Heaven, where my help and strength comes from and pray that things will change for the better, that America will turn to GOD and see its wicked ways...
Blessings until next time!

President Bush
On his last night as our president, I would like to say thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for going with your gut and sticking to your guns. Thank you for being more concerned about our protection than your reputation. Thank you for wanting to save the lives of the unborn, for the freedoms that you've fought for over your past 8 years as our president. In my book, you go down as one of the greatest presidents in history. GOD bless you and thank you again!

Part 1 Matthew 5:45
Matthew 5:45 (King James Version)
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
After having a discussion with a lounge sister, she used this verse in our conversation. :) I started thinking...I believe this verse has been taken out of context for years...I think that about many verses...I think that when we read the WORD of GOD we need to keep three things in mind...
1. We need to read the whole book...sometimes that's difficult because when the Bible was translated to King James, it was divided for conveinence, and often cuts passages into two different chapters.
2. We should read different versions and go to the original Hebrew or Greek
3. We should read things not as Gentiles, but as engrafted Jews. We were engrafted the day JESUS took on sin and died for us, and we accepted it.
So now going back to Matthew 5:45...
I have heard many people use this verse in reference to blessing or cursing...I disagree with this teaching...and until today, I never knew why, because I hadn't looked at the whole passage until today, when people said it to me.
Looking at Matthew 5....
1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
31It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
33Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
35Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
So, after reading this passage, this is what I think it is saying...
It has nothing to do with blessing and cursing, in my opinion...the way people use it. I do think we will reap what we sow, according to GOD's WORD, but I think it means...HE allows the sun to shine and rain to fall each day. It is saying that we are to love and treat unbelievers and those that treat us wrongly, with love and respect the same way JESUS did each day.
Rain and sun in the original text means the rain and sun as the way we think of the rain-moisture from the sky and the sun-the light of day...
More thoughts on this later...
Blessings until then!

Yesterday's manna
I was half asleep the other morning, when I heard don't try to live off of yesterday's manna. Today's a new day, new manna.
What did that mean you might wonder, or maybe you know and you don't wonder. :P
We can't live in yesterday. We can't worry about it. The children of Israel had to trust GOD daily for HIS provision, they couldn't gather up manna and save it for the next day...except for the sabbath.
They couldn't keep looking back and think about how good it was to be back in Eygpt, they needed to press forward and look for today...it took them a long time to get that one...lol...
We often do that as Christians. We worry about provision down the road...when we are only needing to worry about it for today. We don't need to worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of it'self if we trust GOD. JEHOVAH JIREH...GOD MY PROVIDER! GOD will take care of today, if we let HIM...but learning how to let HIM might be the challenge.
How do we let GOD take care of today? I've found that making sure the slate is clean each day before going to bed or getting up is a good place to start. In other words, asking for forgiveness and forgiving those that have trespassed against me. Then, I pray the WORD of GOD over my situation...finances, sickness, etc. I often meditate or read HIS WORD and what it says about my situation to comfort me and to get into my spirit man.
Often times it's not that we don't believe GOD's WORD, it's that we are fighting the flesh-our minds. That's the devil trying to make us doubt, when we know in our hearts GOD is making everything all right...Remember the thing that Job feared is what happened?
So how do we get out of that fear? We confess it, we look to GOD's WORD for HIS TRUTH and what it says about a situation and we meditate on it, and every time the devil tries to lie to us, we doubt his doubt!!! We say, "No satan, that's NOT what GOD's WORD says, GOD's WORD says....HE shall supply all of my needs according to HIS riches in CHRIST JESUS. (Philippians 4:19) No devil, the WORD says, I am healed according to Isaiah 53:5, By HIS (JESUS') stripes I am healed." and so on and so on...we need to say these words (that apply to the situation)...GOD's WORDS out loud. We need to hear ourselves say it. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21
Why you might ask? Because FAITH comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD. Our physical ears need to hear it, so it gets in our head-where the battle is-and goes into our spirit man as well.
I'm including some verses that might be helpful...even if it's just for myself as a reminder. :)
Provision:
Phillipans 4:19 "But my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS"
3 John 2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth"
Psalm 37:25 "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."
Psalm 34:10 "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing."
Psalm 23:1 "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."
Deuteronomy 28:2-8 "And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
Deuteronomy 28:11-13 "And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:"
Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."
I Corinthians 16:2 "Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come"
Malachi 3:10-12"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts."
II Corinthians 9:6-8 "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"
Matthew 6:31-33 "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Proverbs 4:20-22 "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him"

Sunday Sing-Along
I asked dh to help me pick a song this week. I said gived me a christian artist we don't hear anymore...so he picked Roby Duke. I picked the song...one of my favorite Roby songs. We got to see Roby a few times in the 80's. Dh probably heard in a lot before we met too. :P
Also, please keep our friend, Charles, in your prayers. He had a heart attack the other night while at work. He's 49, has 4 boys, ranging from ages 10-21. Marian, Charles' wife is one of my dearest friends. We are here with Marian and the boys, as I write this. The doctors put some stints in Charles' heart yesterday, and he's doing better, but prayer would be appreciated. :D

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY MY JOE BUG!!!
Yep, it's official! I have a teenager again! sigh...my lil man is grownin' up! The night before he was born my midwife and her assistant came over. I was watching "Mr. Holland's Opus", probably my all time favorite movie, my dh went to the grocery store to get the ingredients to make homemade cinnamon rolls. He ran into a guy we knew and told him I was at home in labor...lol...dh came home and made cinnamon rolls...I waited for the appointed time for my little guy to come into this world...finally we all went into the other room so I could deliver...next thing ya know there he was! Such a cutie...still is...I guess I'm kinda partial. :)
Happy Birthday Joe Bug! We love you very much! Thanks for being such a joy, for the many smiles you put on our faces, and for the times you've taught your mother patience. :P I love ya, buddy!!!
And in case all of you couldn't figure it out...Toy Story is one of Joe Bug's favorite movies, so my blog's background this week is in honor of him!

Thoughts at 4 am...
Yep, It's 4 am...dh just left for work...lots of stuff going on...prayer needed for job situation...prayer needed for my friend Rosemary-she lost her dad on Wednesday. My friend, Beth, still needs prayers. I've been praying...I wake up and pray, I go to sleep praying, I pray throughout the day...sometimes I think, "GOD are you listening?" Of course I know HE is...sometimes I wish GOD would answer like the microwave beeps...quickly....sometimes HE does, sometimes HE doesn't....I try to look at every situation as "GOD, I look forward to how YOU'RE going to answer this. I know it will be an adventure and it will turn out better than I expected!" Sometimes I get a little discouraged...I think I'm there now...but I remember what someone told me long ago..."We don't go by circumstances or feelings...we go by the very WORD of GOD!" He's still right today...and that is my dh. So LORD I choose to trust YOU...because I'm either going to trust YOU or I'm not...anything in between is NOT...
Tomorrow I will have a teenage son...maybe that's part of the reason I'm discouraged...but in this case it would be sad. :( Not sad that he's a teenager...sad it's come so fast. Where's that cute little guy that use to put his little hands on my face and turn it so he could look right in my eyes to talk to me and make sure he had my attention? Now he's taller than me and looks down at me to talk to me...sigh....lol....
So at 4 am...these are my thoughts...
Blessings until next time...

I've slept on one of those too!
Today, while watching tv with dd, a tempur-pedic bed commercial comes on. Lil dd says, "I've slept on one of those." I said. "Really, where?" (thinking maybe at a relatives house or something) She then says, "Well I laid on one at the mattress store." ROFLOL..."Um well in that case I've slept on one of those too!" was my response!
What a goofball...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
When my youngest dd was little and we lived in Seattle she started saying Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when we would go through it, and try to do it through the whole tunnel. The one that could do it the longest won the game.
Saturday, we were watching a show about trains. They were showing the longest tunnel in the USA is in WA state through the Cascade Mountains. It's an 8 mile tunnel.
My son said, "We'd have to be ahhhhing for awhile."
A few minutes later he said, "We'd still be ahhhhing!" lol

luv...um...
The other day on the way back to Houston, we were going to stop at Rudy's. I thought I better call them before we head out, since it was New Year's Day. I wanted to make sure they were open and if so how long. The conversation went something like this...
Rudy's-"Thank you for calling Rudy's BBQ. How may I help you?"
Me-"I was calling to see if you were open today and how late?"
Rudy's-"Yes, Ma'am, we are open until 9:30 pm."
Dh says in the background..."Ask them if they are serving black-eyed peas today."
Me-"Are you serving black-eyed peas today?"
Rudy's-"We don't serve black-eyed peas, ma'am."
Me-"No, Honey, they don't serve black-eyed peas."
Me-"Allrighty, thank you luv..um...nevermind...I was going to tell you I love you. LOL...sorry, thank you."
The girl was laughing too. sigh...well at least it wasn't embarassing and funny, like the post office...this was just funny!
Blessings until next time!
RYC...Susan, no we never got any black-eyed peas...on the way to Houston we were going to pick up a can...but the store was out. I normally make a big pot too...it's more a fun tradition than actually believing it. ;)

2009 Started off with a bang!!
New Year Comments

Oh boy!
Dh's cousin, A, is married to B.
B's sister, L was having a gathering at her house.
B, A, and B's mom and dad invited us over.
B's brother and sil are there along with a few other people.
B's brother is very liberal...comes down stairs and sees something on tv and makes a comment about it...something political...B's mom and dad are in the room. Dh and I are in the room. B's dad and mom say something back...somewhere in there I said something about if people voted for Obama for issues instead of color I....and one of reasons he got elected is because many people that voted for him, never voted before. This guy is way anti GOD. As the discussion continues...He makes a comment about religion and politics don't go together...dh says that's not true and I'll tell you why, and tries to explain to the guy why...the guy starts saying stuff like, "If I go to Hell it won't matter. I'll deal with it." Dh tells him, "You can't deal with it. You won't be able to. I don't want to see you have to." Then dh tells him, I'm going to pray GOD makes himself so real to you, that you'll believe and you'll care or something like that. The discussion goes on where this guy is now raising his voice t0 his parents...the guy is in his 50'sor 60's...HEY I DON'T care...YOU don't tell YOUR parents they're idiots or fools (can't remember the word he used) because they believe the way they do. All of them are getting louder and louder. I say in a loud voice, "Excuse me! Excuse me!" No one can hear me...finally I yell, "EXCUSE ME!" Everyone stops to listen to me. I look at the guy and say, "Maybe I'm out of line, because this isn't my family or my house but you are being very disrespectful to your parents!" He looks at me and says, "Well then why don't you leave" I get up, and say, "I will". I march upstairs to retrieve my children, I come down and put on my shoes and jacket and say good-bye to B's parents. They said, "Please don't go. He's always like this. We want you to stay." So we end up staying a little after midnight. It was a tad uncomfortable....but dh said, "We are not going to allow the devil destroy a work that is going on. He's (B's bro) going to see the truth." B's parents have been praying for bro and sil for a long time to get saved...I think the seed has finally been planted...I look forward to welcoming him and his wife into the kingdom...BUT think the next time they are in town, I'll choose to stay home and pray for them. :P
Oh and the funny part was the brother was going on and on about all of us started the conversation....when trying to explain to oldest dd what happened, on the way home, she said, "Leave it to a Democrat to blame someone else!: ROFLOL
Happy New Year 2009! LOL
