Obama's Redistribution Plan-in a nutshell...

I found this posted on a homeschool board I visit. I love it...

Yesterday on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on an "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept.
He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside.
The server angrily stormed from my sight.I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more.
The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Sunday Sing-Along

Here's another song I heard on the radio the other day. I basically had quit listening to Christian radio here at home, because the two Christian radio stations we have here, play the same thing over and over again...it gets so old...I started listening to Christian music on Sirrus radio, but again, after a day or so, I'm listening to the same old stuff. Since I've been back in the Houston area, I've been listening to my favorite Christian radio station, KSBJ. Even though KSBJ isn't like it use to be...which I miss, it's still one of the best Christian radio stations to me...of course I'm kinda partial to it...dh helped get it started years and years ago. ;) The words on the screen are in Spanish-it's the only version I could find on YouTube, but the song is in English-lol :)

Mainstay-"Where your Heart Belongs"

You lost yourself in finding out
the wonders of the world will let you down
You gave yourself to those who never cared about your soul
They only cared for their own
It seems everyone has left you

You're not alone, I hear you call
And I've been waiting her for you through it all
You're not alone, come to the cross
And let me show you where your heart belongs

You've been down the darkest roads
and you know just how it feels to lose your hope
But don't give up on everything
when everyone has given up on you
And it feels like everyone has left you

I will never leave you, come back to my open arms
To the only love you need

Apparently Dh has put us all on a diet ;)

A couple years ago, dh and I were doing the Southbeach diet. One day while he was out with Doodles, they stopped at Sonic to get her some food. Dh asked Doodles for a tater tot and then told her, Your mother is starving me on this darn diet! LOL

The girls and I went to a baby shower today. Dh and ds stayed home and worked on stuff around the house. Dh was suppose to make Buffalo wings for dinner, but was too tired and I mentioned something about wanting Papa John's pizza...he decided to run to the store. He brought home some frozen pizzas...when I went out to get some, I found out that apparently dh was putting us all on a diet! LOL! He only bought 2 frozen pizzas...this probably would have been enough a couple of years ago, but ds eats at least 1 frozen pizza by himself! I just had to give dh a hard time about it! :P

Pretty Powerful...

My friend, Pam, introduced me to a new song tonight...and I wasn't sure if I heard of the artist or not, so I went on a hunt to find out if I had or not. Instead of figuring that out, I found an interesting letter written by a BLACK, Christian concert pianist, named Huntley Brown. (Warning: GRAPHIC CONTENT)

Maybe you've seen this, maybe not. Here's a copy of his letter:

Why I Can’t Vote For Obama

First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments, but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.

Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness.

I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can’t dictate the terms He does because He is the leader. I can’t vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that’s who I am. Christian first, black second. Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won’t be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning, to name a few, wrong, economic concerns will soon not matter.

We need to follow Martin Luther King’s words, “Don’t judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” I don’t know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record.

His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.
NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)

To beat Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton as t he most liberal senator, takes some doing. Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.

There is a reason planned parenthood gives him a 100 % rating.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him.
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court.
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion.
There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito.
These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.

Let’s take a look at the practice he wanted to continue.
The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure
1. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s leg with forceps. (Remember this is a live baby)
2. The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
3. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.
4. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
5. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed. God help him.

There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law. Think about this: you can’t give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.

There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years. Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright’s sermons. I wonder why now? Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 - 20 ‘Go and make disciples of all nations.’ This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you, talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?

Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a:
1. Commitment to the White Community
2. Commitment to the White Family
3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.

Would you support a President who went to a church like that?

Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama’s former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside. This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can’t be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.

A church can’t have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if it’s a white church or a black church it’s still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.

Obama’s former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: ‘Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. Cone is the man Obama’s mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?

So what does all this mean for the nation?

In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing - judgment.

Read 1 Samuel 8 when Israel asked for a king. First God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 ‘Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.'

Then God says: 1 Samuel 1:18 ‘When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.’ 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. ‘No!’ they said. ‘We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.’ 21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, ‘Listen to them and give them a king.’

Here is what we know for sure.

God is not schizophrenic

He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.

Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture, so I doubt it.

For all my friends who are voting for Obama, can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four supreme court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you. I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this. I know I can look the other way because of the economy.

I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama’s positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.

Since we know someone’s value system has to be placed on the nation,

1. Whose value system should be placed on the nation?

2. Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

Blessings,
Huntley Brown

Weekend Recap

We had a fun weekend. First dh and ds went to finish roof up at dh's parent's house. The girls and I just hung out until they got back, then we ran some errands and went out for dinner with our friends. Yesterday, we went to a surprise party for our friend, James. Originally the party was suppose to be the weekend of Ike...but well...that didn't work out well...who wants to be on a party boat, out on the lake, during a hurricane ?(oh pick me, pick me-NOT!!! lol) Jame's wife, Trish, had to keep a secret for another month...bless her heart, she felt like she was lying! (I don't blame her, I've felt the same, when trying to surprise dh) We had a nice, relaxing cruise of seeing the devastation of IKE on Clear Lake, Kemah and Kemah Boardwalk, Seabrook, etc. The damage is hard to imagine yet alone see...so sad...but being on the water with friends was fun and relaxing despite the devastation. (kinda makes you more humbled and appreciative of all the blessings GOD gives us on a daily basis) Afterwards, we went over to Marian and Charles' house and Marian and I, and the girls, headed over to Target and then when we got back headed to Cheddar's with the boys for dinner.

In other news...have you heard about this? Scary!!! (and you can't tell me it just sounds like that...right! They know it says that!)

And how about this??? A friend forwarded this email. This is incredible:
(and after some more investigating...I've found this kid repaints this rock every year. Check these out here)

I can't believe this was done by a teenager! There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos. (all angles) of the rock. I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.

Here's the artist: Ray "Bubba" Sorensen:

AWESOME Work, RAY ... Thank you! " God Bless America " and "OUR SOLDIERS AND VETS"
Pass it on.
You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

this could have been me!

Geez, little did I know all it would take was writing a letter to TLC and tell them I live on the road (and have on and off) for the past 9 years! Yes, it's true, TLC is starting a show called "Our Loud Family" about a family that lives in a 34 ft RV and homeschools!

I could have been a star! sigh...
Then while checking out info on the show I found this...this adding insult to injury!!! I could be the owner of this site...I'm still trying to figure out how I can join so I can share my wealth of vast knowledge! :P LOL

In other news...
Today is my blog's birthday. I did hope to have some kind of giveaway...but with the moving from one rv to another and all that's involved, I didn't get a chance to prepare one. Maybe later down the road...lol (literally!!! play on words?)

Just a thought, that goes along with yesterday's post about praying to move mountains...GOD showed me this yesterday after listening to Pastor Creflo Dollar...Pastor Dollar was talking about the power of our tongue. Not that I didn't already know what he was talking about. We have been learning how to put this in to practice for several years. (Some might think this is hokey...I can tell you right now, we wouldn't be where we are now if we hadn't done it. I'm sure we'd be living under a bridge somewhere-and no I'm not joking about that! )

Life and Death are in the power of the tongue. GOD has given us that power. So...in regards to the election, GOD showed me this...the "world" predicts that Obama is going to win this election. Well the "world" doesn't have power and authority to speak life and death...because they don't have the authority until they become Christians....so if they don't have the authority, who does? WE DO and WE have the authority to speak McCain in to office. Because life and death are in the power of our tongues. We are born again Christians that have that authority. I urge you to take your authority in CHRIST today and start speaking it into existence!

Blessings until next time!

Something to think about and chew on...

I'm sharing. My dear, dear friend, Sylvia, sent this to me and I thought I would pass it on to you. Think about it and chew on it...
This is what was sent in whole:

This came to me from a dear friend and prayer warrior in Arizona - not only is she a strong Christian, but she has been involved in presidential campaigns back as far as Ronald Regan (maybe even before then - that's how long I have know her) - this is not some 'Internet circulating' e-mail - it is from Elizabeth's own heart and well worth our heeding as Christians.

From: ELIZABETH ROHN-NELSON
Subject: Prayer can move mountains, why not Obama?

Being dismayed recently when a family member of mine said to me with great resignation that Obama will take the presidency. These words came from someone who in the past has been a great prayer warrior.

What is happening was my question??? Why are we Christians settling and not issuing a battle cry and falling to our knees and taking our country back?

We allow ourselves to be stripped of the right to pray at school functions and in school, we have the 10 commandments removed from government places and are told we cannot pray in school, all the while providing public prayer places for Muslims. What in the world is going on and why are we being apathetic?

Why aren't we praying? Our God is a mighty God who is waiting patiently for us to raise our voices to heaven to stop the tide of the anti-Christ actions in our world today. Now we find we have a charismatic candidate for president who does not respect our flag and refuses to wear one on his lapel except when it becomes politically expedient and whose own wife and pastor that he loves profess to have strong anti-white feelings, and we sit back and say 'it is a given, we can do nothing.'

There has never been a time in 2000 years that we can do nothing, never a time that we must sit back and allow the evil in men's and women's hearts to take over our world. We should be very afraid because our apathy is leading us to perdition.

It is time for all Christian Americans to raise the battle cry and take our nation back. Maybe McCain on his own cannot defeat Obama, but our God can and He will if we take to our knees in prayer and raise a mighty cry to the heavens to 'Save us O Lord.' We have the power to change the course of this election and to keep a man as suspect as Barak Obama from leading our country to who knows where with his message of 'change' - a change which I fear will be away from our Christian ideals and away from Christ and further away from one nation under God.

We are great at passing stories and pictures around the internet, but where are our prayers and prayer warriors praying to stop this tide of Barak Obama? God parted the red sea, Jesus raised himself from the dead, and we can bring our country back to its Christian roots and stop the move to the rise of Muslims in our country. We can stop our country from being 'under Allah,' but we must begin to pray, to pray as if our country and our lives depended on it, because they do. We can stop all these atrocities against God's commands that have taken root in our country through something as simple as sincere prayer, a call to God to deliver us, to forgive us our sins of apathy and to protect us from the evil that is upon us.

Okay prayer warriors, here is your challenge, start those prayer chains. Get the spiritual power working on our behalf and stop Barak Obama the proper way, by calling on our God to save us from the deception that charismatic preaching is using to lead us on the wrong path. Stop those who would take God out of our country and our government. Raise up good men to lead us and protect us.

George Bush is being buffeted because he has fought a holy war against the evils that attack us and we should not be surprised because a prophet is not honored in his own country. But we should not rest on our laurels and allow ourselves to be taken further off the path of Christianity and to have God removed from our presence in our schools, courts, government and businesses. Invite God into the fray. Ask that His power rest upon us and give us the victory. Ask him to raise up a mighty army to defend us and to protect our country as he did in days of old. Let us be victorious beginning NOW. The battle is His but we must call on Him without ceasing and unite our voices and hearts in prayer and fasting.

Please pass this around to all people of prayer that you know and maybe, just maybe a more eloquent person of prayer will write something better and more inspiring and even the rocks will shout that Jesus is Lord and our Mighty God is with us, bringing the victory for us and ultimately for Him. 'Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.'

I Thess 5:16-18 ...Continuous Prayer is the answer to this attack on the USA.... Please pray the Will of God will prevail through our continuous prayers to HIM...

Remember Prayer Can... Move Mountains

NO more pow-pows Daddy...

"No more pow -pows, Daddy, no more pow-pows." This is what my youngest would say to her daddy when she didn't want a spanking, or got a spanking on her little diaper...and for the record...it was a pat on her diaper and she would burst out crying...because with that kid, that's all it took to break her will!!!

That's how I felt yesterday. No more pow-pows Daddy, no more pow-pows! Have you ever got a spanking from GOD? I have, and more than once...and this might sound funny, but it's been an actually phyisical spanking!

The first time I was in a foul mood at my sister's bridal shower. I got lost, I was tired...I could go on and on...the shower was at some old house, tea room. The stairs were narrow...after gripping and complaining, and me disobeying GOD to stop, I fell down those narrow stairs. I knew GOD was trying to get me to stop complaining. I didn't hurt myself. I know if I had, it wouldn't have been from GOD!!!

Well, yesterday, was no different...I was worried about something...and yet I know better! I do, I know better....yet I still gave into fear, worry, doubt, etc...Why? I have no clue! But I did. So yesterday, ds wanted to go to Walmart and pick up the new Indiana Jones DVD movie, he's been saving up for. It rained all yesterday morning here in the lovely Houston area. (blech!)
After the kiddies were done with school work I took them to Walmart. I had my flip flops on. We are walking up to the front after parking. I'm about to step up on the curb. I'm carefully walking, forgetting about how slippery the bottom of these flip flops are when it's wet outside...guess what? I didn't make it to the curb without slipping and falling right into a BIG puddle of water. The left side of my bottom and all down my leg was soaked. EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! I had to walk around Walmart like that...but IMMEDIATELY I knew what happened...I got a pow-pow...for worrying and not trusting my daddy! I was doubting, disbelieving. Did I hurt myself? NO! Was I embarassed, Nahhhh, not really! I deserved it...how, why would I doubt my DADDY? The KING OF KINGS, the LORD of LORDS, the CREATOR of the WHOLE UNIVERSE when HE's been SO, SO, SO FAITHFUL to me and my family over and over again? I still don't know...but this I do know...NO more pow-pows DADDY, no more pow-pows...

FATHER GOD in the MIGHTY NAME of JESUS, thank YOU so much for YOUR faithfulness...YOUR repeated faithfulness. For loving and accepting us the way we are, and correcting us when we take our eyes off of YOU. I just realized that my pow-pow yesterday was no different than when YOU had Peter walk on water to JESUS. He was fine until he took his eyes off of HIM...well that's what YOU did to me...I was fine, until I took my eyes off of YOU. LORD, thank YOU that YOU knocked sense into me, the way that only YOU can. :) I love YOU, DADDY, I thank YOU for all the goodness and kindness and especially YOUR SON, JESUS in my life. I praise YOUR HOLY NAME. I love YOU! Amen.

Blessings until next time!

A reminder...to myself and anyone else that might need one. :)

This is a portion from here...

If any of you have read my blog, you know my dh's job has kept us on the road a lot over the years...we've lived in many different situations...a motel, a tent, an rv, an apartment, etc...GOD has been faithful and has helped me grow so much in each of these situations, but there also was a time where my dh was unemployed for two years and we didn't have any money coming in. That was REALLY a stretch for me to grow and learn and at the time I couldn't see or understand what GOD was doing. Now I can look back and see GOD's hand in it all. I had to learn to trust GOD completely...it didn't happen quickly! I was working at a preschool and I was going through the whole idea of "at least this is some kind of income...we can at least buy groceries with this..." and also I was struggling with the desire to work or stay home. Thinking I needed to be doing something with my life...a career...I was working in a preschool to become a director...GOD told me to quit my job..."NO, GOD not THAT! How will we put food on the table? How will we do this or that...?" GOD said, "TRUST me" "Oh yeah GOD, I do, but we still need money... " "NO, Trust me"...so this went on for a while...I finally yielded...but still worried and was scared...but GOD, HE wasn't worried or scared...imagine that? GOD not worried or scared??? Then over a period of time...as I read my Bible and memorized and learned scripture...I came to the point where I realized GOD is my PROVIDER, not a job, not my dh, not anything except GOD HIMSELF....too bad it took 2 years to figure this out...I really look back now and think if I had figured this out sooner, my dh would have had a job much sooner, but GOD was growin' me up and stretching me.

Phillipans 4:19 "But my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS"

3 John 2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth"

Psalm 37:25 "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

Psalm 34:10 "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing."

Psalm 23:1 "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."

Deuteronomy 28:2-8 "And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."

Deuteronomy 28:11-13 "And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:"

Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

I Corinthians 16:2 "Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come"

Malachi 3:10-12"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts."

II Corinthians 9:6-8 "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

Matthew 6:31-33 "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

During that time, we didn't have health insurance part of that period of time. My dh was helping a guy waterblast (pressure washed) and paint a house to make some money. My dh accidently tripped over the hose and waterblasted his leg and had a huge hole in it. The guy he was working with took him to the emergency room. The doctors siad there wasn't really anything they could do because of where it was located. They gave my dh some antibiotics and sent him home. "Oh GREAT, another challenge...GOD don't YOU know this not having a job thing is hard enough? What have we done wrong?" We have a really good friend that my dh and I decided to call and ask him to come over and pray over my husband's leg. You have to understand his leg was swollen the size of an elephant's leg. There was all that water that had been sprayed up into it not to mention all the dirt and stuff in it. We waited all afternoon for our friend to come over. Right before our friend got there my dh had changed the bandage. When our friend got there, he was hestitant to pray because of the severity of the wound, but he went ahead and prayed anyways...As he was praying over my dh's leg, you could see water just pouring out of the leg, and the swelling kept going down and down. My dh then said, as he looked at his leg and only a very small size cut was there, "I can live with that"...right when he said that the water stop coming out, the swelling was all gone...then my dh realized if he hadn't siad anything GOD would have completely healed the wound...but the neat thing is my dh has a very small scar on his leg and to us it is proof that that's where GOD performed a miracle!

I Peter 2:24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

Psalm 103:3 "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;"

Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Jeremiah 17:14 "Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise"

Jeremiah 30:17a "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD"

Exodus 15:26 "And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee."

Proverbs 4:20-22 "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."

Psalm 107:20 "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

James 5:14,15 "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him"

Exhausting Weekend...

We did it...we moved into the new RV, which we picked up on Friday. There was the walk throughs, the paper signing, the minor repairs, the moving stuff from one rv to the other, some more waiting on the repairs...sigh, and then finally on Saturday we got to take it to the rv park and leave it to go home and get the original mattress for the old rv. Needless to say it was a very tiring and busy weekend. Today I get to spend the day organizing and cleaning.

In other news, my sister's friend Erin, has a wonderful, heartfelt post on her blog. I encourage you to read it!

Blessings until next time!

Sunday Sing-Along

Thursday, October 9, 2008

This is pretty good...

      Jimmy Carter became our
> 39th president at the young age of 52. He was a one-term
> governor from Plains, GA, where he managed the family peanut
> farm and taught Sunday school. He was also a graduate of
> the Naval Academy and served seven years in the Navy,
> leaving as a lieutenant.
>
>
>
> He came to power in the
> aftermath of the Vi etnam War and the resignation of
> President Nixon. The public wanted change and someone new,
> and Carter was an ambitious, hands-on politician who
> promised better days. As good as his intentions were,
> however, the things he tried were not successful. In fact,
> he created far more serious problems than he ever solved.
>
>
>
> The centerpiece of
> Carter's foreign policy was human rights, and he did
> achieve one noble success-a peace treaty between Egypt
> 's Anwar Sadat and Israel 's Menachem Begin.
>
>
>
> Unfortunately, that later led
> to Sadat's assassination at the hands of Muslim
> radicals.
>
>
>
> Many people felt Carter was
> a good man who worked hard and meant well. But he was naive
> and incompetent in handling the enormous burdens and complex
> challenges of being president.
>
>
>
> He wrongly believed
> Americans had an 'inordinate fear of communism,' so
> he lifted travel bans to Cuba , North Vi etnam and Cambodia
> and pardoned draft evaders. He also stopped B-1 bomber
> production and gave away our strategically located Panama
> Canal
>
>
>
> His most damaging
> miscalculation was the withdrawal of U.S. support for the
> Shah of Iran , a strong and longtime military ally. Carter
> objected to the Shah's alleged mistreatment of
> imprisoned Soviet spies who were working to overthrow Iran
> 's government. He thought the exiled Ayatollah
> Khomeini, being a religious man, would make a fairer leader.
>
>
>
> Having lost U.S. support,
> the Shah was overthrown, the Ayatollah returned, Iran was
> declared an Islamic nation and Palestinian hit men were
> hired to eliminate opposition.
>
>
>
> The Ayatollah then
> introduced the idea of suicide bombers to the Palestine
> Liberation Organization, paying $35,000 to PLO families
> whose young people were brainwashed to kill as many Israelis
> as possible by blowing themselves up in c rowded shopping
> areas.
>
>
>
> Next, the Ayatollah used
> Iran 's oil wealth to create, train and finance a new
> terrorist organization, Hezbollah, which later would attack
> Israel in 2006.
>
> In November 1979, Mahmoud
> Ahmadinejad and other Iranians stormed the U.S. embassy in
> Tehran and took 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. Not
> until six months into the ordeal did Carter attempt a
> rescue. But the mission, using just six Navy helicopters,
> was poorly executed. Three of the copters were disabled or
> lost in sandstorms. (Pilots weren't allowed to meet
> with weather forecasters because someone in authority
> worried about security.) Five airmen and three Marines lost
> their lives.
>
>
>
> So, due to overconfidence,
> inexperience and poor judgment, Carter undermined and lost a
> strong ally, Iran , that today aggressively threatens the
> U.S. , Israel and the rest of the world with nuclear
> weapons.
>
>
>
> But that's not all.
> After Carter met for the first time with Soviet leader
> Leonid Brezhnev, the USSR promptly invaded Afghanistan .
> Carter, ever the naive appeaser, was shocked. 'I
> can't believe the Russians lied to me,' he said.
>
>
>
> The invasion attracted a
> 23-year-old Saudi named Osama bin Laden to Afghanistan to
> recruit Muslim fighters and raise money for an anti-Soviet
> jihad. Part of that group eventually became al-Qaida, a
> terrorist organization that would declare war on America
> several times between 1996 and 1998 before attacking us on
> 9/11, killing more Americans than the Japanese attack on
> Pearl Harbor
>
> On Carter's watch, the
> Soviet Union went on an unrestrained rampage in which it
> took over not only Afghanistan, but also Ethiopia, South
> Yemen, Angola, Cambodia, Mozambique, Grenada and Nicaragua.
>
> In spite of this,
> Carter's last defense budget proposed spending 45% below
> pre- Vi etnam levels for fighter aircraft, 75% for ships,
> 83% for attack submarine and 90% for helicopters.
>
>
>
> Years later, as a civilian,
> Carter negotiated a peace agreement with North Korea to keep
> that communist country from developing nuclear weapons. He
> also convinced President Clinton and Secretary of State
> Madeleine Albright to go along with it. But the signed
> piece of paper proved worthless. The North Koreans deceived
> Carter and instead used our money, incentives and technical
> equipment to build nuclear weapons and pose the threat we
> face today.
>
>
>
> Thus did Carter unwittingly
> become our Neville Chamberlain, creating with his
> well-intended but inept, unrealistic and gullible actions
> the very conditions that led to the three most dangerous
> security threats we face today: Iran , al-Qaida and North
> Korea
>
>
>
> On the domestic side,
> Carter gave us inflation of 15%, the highest in 34 years;
> interest rates of 21%, the highest in 115 years; and a
> severe energy crisis with lines around the block at gas
> stations nationwide.
>
>
>
> In 1977, Carter, along
> with a Democrat Congress, created a worthy project with
> noble intentions-the Community Reinvestment Act. Over
> strong industry objections, it mandated that all banks meet
> the credit needs of their entire communities.
>
>
>
> In 1995, President Clinton
> imposed even stronger regulations and performance tests that
> coerced banks to substantially increase loans to low-income,
> poverty-area borrowers or face fines or possible
> restrictions on expansion. ; These revisions allowed for
> securitization of CRA loans containing subprime mortgages.
>
>
>
> By 1997, good loans were

>
> Under two young,

Please pray today...

*Please pray today for my url friend, Susan and her dh. He is having bypass surgery today.

*Also, please pray for me...I've had a weird sinus headache since yesterday...I thought it was gone, but it started pounding again. I'm rebuking Cedar Fever...if you don't know what that is, you have to live in Central TX to really know...lol...and actually I don't think it's that.

*We are driving back to Houston today. Prayers are always appreciated for that! I think we'll be picking up the new RV tomorrow. They had one like ours at the other location.

Blessings and thanks!

It's Wednesday...

Not sure if I haven't felt like blogging or just don't have much to say...which I say to myself, "That's hard to believe!"

We might get new RV next week...I found one at the other location and asked how come I can't have that one? :)

My dh is driving me nuts...I don't know what's going on...but he's been grumpy, grumpy...please pray...that I don't loose it...and that whatever it is will be resolved. I think I know...but I'm not sure...

We are home today, going back to Houston tomorrow, and thanks Ms. C for watching Scoutie again and again!!!

Not much else new...

Blessings until next time!

Sunday Sing-Along

If Obama gets elected...

Keeping it real and being honest here...

Well this morning the LORD convicted me, and asked me, if this man got elected are you really willing to pray for him and his staff? Really in your heart are you prepared for that?
Something to really chew on...because we all know that the scripture tells us to pray for our leaders, but how many are really, seriously ready to do this, knowing what he stands for, knowing the division that this election is causing? Be honest-are you really, really ready to pray for him and his staff? (ouch! my toes hurt!!!)

Because I think as of right now, I don't think many of us are praying for him. We've been praying perhaps for our country and forgiveness for our country, along with the election and that it will turn out the way we would like...come on, being honest here...but have we been praying for this man? and will we if he gets elected??? I can honestly say, I haven't been. Sad, but true. and until today, probably wouldn't have thought to...

Blessings until next time!

Saturday...

The girls and I are on our own today. The men have gone to the inlaws to re-roof their home. Very nice for them, considering the only time we get a call from them is when they need something done...Doodles and I were discussing that yesterday, and then I said, "You know what? That's between dad and his parents, and if he wants to have that kind of relationship with them so be it. He thinks they've changed and I hope for his sake they have. We're only bringing curse on ourselves saying anything else." And we dropped it. It's hard to watch though, especially after 20+ years...seeing the way they treat one of the most loving. kind, generous person in the world like poop...

Yesterday, the girls and I were out shopping (alone then too, boys at in laws for 1st day of work).
We got some fabulous deals at JCP!
*Got dh a new sports coat for $20 reg. $160.
*Bella some jeans for $4.99 reg $26.99/ Couple of shirts $4.99 reg $21.99
*Doodles some shirts for $4.99 reg $30.00/new boobie basket for $6.99 reg $28
* Me some pj's for $9.99 reg $9.99-not as good as deal as I would like...
and a few other things altogether we paid...$95.69 and a savings of $348.58!!! Yay for good deals!!!

Not sure what we'll do today, but I know the plans include going to the laundromat and washing clothes. blech :( (we are at rv park this weekend...closer to in laws house than home is)

Thank you and other stuff...

First of all, I just want to thank each one of you for your kind and gracious remarks about the new "home". It's a blessing to have people be happy for you! (instead of mad or jealous/covetous-which we've experienced before...sad, but true) Also, a couple things along those lines...GOD is the one that blessed us with this new home! And I want to give HIM all the glory and praise for it. HE is our provider! Thank YOU, FATHER GOD!!!! Also, I want to say, I know it makes my dh very happy to make us happy, but I think really he's the one that gets the bigger blessing out of the whole deal...he thinks he's making us happy, so that makes him happy....does that make sense? Not that we're not happy, lol, we're very happy...but in the long run I think my dh is the one that is really happy, because he likes to be a blessing...and believe me he is! Thank YOU FATHER GOD for a loving, kind, generous, patient, GODLY husband/father.

Second, we have enough room for 10...so there's 5 in our family, when we are all together...so that leaves plenty of room for you all to come and visit and hang out with us...and YES, I mean that!!! (did I mention that the sofa has an air mattress? so cool!!!) And Yes, we would love for you to come and visit us and let us bless you. We are blessed to be a blessing!!!! :D

Now on to other stuff...

I'm so confused about this bail out thingy...I'm trying to be an educated voter...but the more I read the more confused I become...especially after reading the bill. Healthcare? I thought the bill was on the banking system...$700 billion now $250 billlion? Help!?!?!?!? (M, at this point I need the condensed, layman version-lol)

Didn't see the VP debate last night...but I don't care who did better...I already know who I'm voting for...and if you know me, you know who I'm voting for too ;)

on a sad note...
One of the moms that did BFS last year, went on to be with the LORD on Wednesday. :( Mamasmurf aka Chrissy had battle a sickness for some time. Please keep her dh and ds in your prayers as they go through this sad time.

Blessings until next time!

Link to call for bailout!!!

My friend, Pottermom, has numbers to call for the bailout! I encourage and urge you to call these numbers. We could make a difference!!!

It's BIGGER than a bread box...

okay, so I don't feel like I mislead anyone by saying I have something BIG to tell you about...because what I'm telling you is big! I also said out wtih the old and in with the new. For those that know me, know my living arrangements. We live in an RV on the road most of the time with my dh's job. Last year we got a 30ft Holiday Rambler tow behind travel trailer with one slide out. Here's what our home away from home looks like (well actually this is what it looked like before we moved in. LOL, clean and no clutter)I love my RV...but living in an RV can get a little tight, especially when homeschooling! Yes, we actually live in it! We were just in SC for 4 months living in it. We actually had another one (similar to this-that we lived in for a year)

Recently my dh got a new truck...big enough to pull a bigger RV...and when I mentioned it to him, in passing, not really serious, he just said yeah, we could do that someday. The other day dh called me and said, "I want you to come look at something. I'll be home in a few minutes."

I asked, "Is it a new RV?" "Yes, but before you say anything I want you to just look."

We looked at the one dh wanted to show me along with some others. Dh thinks we need more room to be comfortable and he would like another bathroom...(He doesn't like to be cramped...I think because when he was growing up he lived in a shot gun house with two bedrooms and one bathroom and he had 5 sisters. He got a small front room that was cold and drafty in the winter and hot and sticky in the summer. I think the room was the size of a walk in closet. It was small)

Anyhow after looking, and talking price...we are now the proud new owners of this:

By the way this is the one dh wanted to show me only a different color. (He showed me one in green, I prefer this color and so it's on order now...we should have it in a month or so)

This is a Montana Mountaineer 2009 model, 5th wheel. It has two bathrooms, 4 slideouts, and 4 bunks! A real, full size closet in the master bedroom! Lots of storage!!! and if we want (which we decided not to) we could have a washer/dryer combo inside next to the master closet! No more boxes on the extra bunk to hold clothes or dvd's. No more cramping our clothes in and they hit the bottom of the dinky side bed closet space! No more hollering to the kids (where everyone in the rv park can hear) "Please bring me some toliet paper!!!" Because there is no room under the sink for it...no, this one has a shelf above the toliet to put stuff like that! It's the little things in an rv that make a huge difference! :P This also will be a real plus when we sell our house and find some property to build on. We can just live in this while building. Now when we travel from sea to sea, we'll have lots of room. Oh and it even has a stove outside with two burners...so if I'm in your neck of the woods, come on over for dinner!!!! (and I really mean that!!!)
Blessings until next time! (oh and aren't you glad I surprised you? :P)
